Q: Does "attack is a viable option" mean we can use weapons like arrows and spikes?

What's better than a race? A race where you can attack your opponent. Some of you may have seen Gladiator (and your teachers may have seen Ben Hur) where attack is DEFINITELY an option

Make sure that if you choose to "arm" your car, that it doesn't possess a risk to anybody except the other race car. So, things like firecracks, grenades, napalm guns, etc. are just plain out. Perhaps it would be best to state:

1) No fire/explosions

2) No projectiles

Q: Can use heavier gases like CO2?

No. Stick to good old fashion air.

About Us:
JPEC is a you-build-it competition designed for junior science students (grades 8-10) in the Lower Mainland. Its purpose is to build stuff, learn some physics, and have fun. It is run by volunteers, including high school teachers, students, and UBC faculty.
